I built PawReport because I wanted to know what Daisy was doing all day.
A founder story about a Staffy, a daycare drop-off, and the surprisingly obvious connection between daily report cards and 5-star Google reviews.
It started with Daisy
I own a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Daisy. When I started sending her to daycare, I found myself constantly wondering what she was doing all day. Were the other dogs nice to her? Did she eat her lunch? Was she having fun or just sleeping in a corner?
The daycare was great — they genuinely cared about every dog. But the only update I got was a quick "she had a good day!" at pickup. I wanted more. I wanted to see her day, not just hear it was fine.
I started asking more questions at pickup. The staff were always happy to share — Daisy had played with a Golden Retriever named Biscuit, she'd eaten all her food, she'd been a bit shy in the morning but came out of her shell by noon. That was exactly what I wanted to hear. The problem was, I had to ask every time. And most pet owners probably didn't bother asking at all.
The moment it clicked
One evening I was scrolling through Google reviews for a different daycare — looking for a backup when my regular place was full. The facilities with the most reviews weren't necessarily the best. They were just the ones that made it easy to leave a review. That's when it clicked.
What if a facility could send pet owners a daily report card — mood, meals, energy, a cute photo — in 30 seconds? The owner gets the update they've been craving. And right when they're smiling at a photo of their dog, you ask them to leave a Google review. Not awkward. Completely natural. The review almost writes itself because they just saw exactly what kind of day their dog had.
I spent a weekend building the first version. Daisy served as the test subject. The first report card I sent myself said she was in a "great mood," had eaten all her food, played well with others, and had high energy all day. I smiled reading it. Then I thought — if someone sent me a review request right now, I'd absolutely leave five stars without even thinking about it.
So I built PawReport
PawReport takes 30 seconds per dog. Staff tap through mood, meals, energy, and social behavior, snap a photo, and hit send. The pet owner gets a branded SMS with their dog's full report card. After pickup, they get one more message: a review request with the best photo from the day and a direct link to your Google page.
No awkward conversations at the front desk. No "please leave us a review" signs. Just a great experience that naturally leads to 5-star reviews. That's it. That's the whole product.
I specialise in building marketing solutions for small service businesses that rely on Google reviews. PawReport sits at the intersection of what dog owners genuinely want — to know what their dog is doing all day — and what pet care facilities need to grow: a consistent stream of authentic reviews from happy clients. It's one of those rare cases where the right thing for the customer and the right thing for the business are exactly the same thing.
PawReport is built by Bybloscale LLC, a software company focused on building tools that solve real operational problems for small service businesses. PawReport is the first product — built from a genuine "I needed this and it didn't exist" moment.
